Last weekend our very own Siân Abbott took part in her first London Marathon!
Siân received the great news last October that she had finally been picked from the entry ballot after years of entering with no luck.
Last Sunday her months of hard work and training led her to central London as she ran with thousands of other participants.

Despite a niggle with her knee at around 16 miles, Siân persevered and finished in an impressive time of 4hrs 19mins.

Two of Siân’s next events are the Southend Half Marathon and the inaugural Great East Run here in Ipswich. Siân’s next marathon is booked for next year and will take her back to Brighton where she hopes to improve on her time and finish with a sub 4 hour race.
